The clinical skills you'll be asked to perform which clearly explained in Somali before you're standing at the bedside.

Hands-on clinical procedure training in Somali for Nursing, Midwifery and medical students. The students gonna learn injections, cannulation, catheterisation, NG tubes, suturing and wound care.

What you'll master

• Perform correct hand hygiene using recognised technique
• Don sterile gloves and a surgical gown without contamination
• Handle sharps safely and respond to a needlestick injury
• Administer intramuscular
• intravenous and subcutaneous injections
• Identify the parts and sizes of an IV cannula and select the right gauge
• Select an appropriate vein and insert an IV cannula
• Identify when urinary catheterisation is indicated
• Prepare equipment and insert a urinary catheter
• Identify when a nasogastric tube is indicated
• Insert a nasogastric tube and confirm correct placement
• Name common surgical instruments and their uses
• Select suture techniques and materials appropriate to the wound
• Control bleeding in a trauma setting
• Clean and dress a wound correctly
• Work within your scope of practice and recognise when to escalate.
